Kitco lost a very large wire payment I made about 2008. Eventually they found it after about a month and repeated inquiries, but the loss of such a large bank wire does not reflect well on Kitco.
How does a bank wire get lost? If the payment had been a paper check or credit card, the order & payment could simply have been canceled, but order was too large for a check or credit card. The bank wire was withdrawn from my bank account and it took Kitco a month to locate it.
Kitco now reports on crypto currencies, with indicates little knowledge in the crypto market and little faith in the bullion market.
