Every product we track, measured against the metal in it

Loading the dealer snapshot. Every bar below uses the same scale, so a wide silver spread and a tight gold one look as different as they are.

How to read this

Over melt is what you pay above the metal itself. A one-ounce Silver Eagle contains exactly one ounce of silver; everything above spot is minting, dealer margin and scarcity.

Spread is the distance between the cheapest and dearest dealer for the identical product. A wide bar means shopping around is worth real money; a narrow one means it barely matters.

What is not counted

Shipping is shown where the dealer publishes a verifiable policy and marked unverified where they do not. An unverified row can never win on landed cost, which understates some genuinely cheap dealers.

State sales tax is not included and can exceed every premium difference on this page combined.

Dealers may quote different prices by payment method, so rows with different payment bases are not directly comparable.
