What we collect

Analytics is disabled unless a deployment is configured with a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID. When enabled, it records the limited events described below. Account storage is independent of that setting.

Most of the site works without an account and without you telling us anything:

• Analytics data. Pages visited, approximate location (country/region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. We use this to understand which content is useful.
• Interaction data. We may record dealer-link clicks, collection-to-product clicks, unavailable-data states, and calculator completion. Calculator inputs, calculated values, prices, email addresses, and shipping amounts are not included in those events.

If you choose to create an account, we additionally store:

• Your email address. Used to identify your account, confirm it belongs to you, and let you reset your password.
• A one-way hash of your password. We never store, and cannot see, your actual password. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which hashes it before storage.
• Your watchlist. The products you choose to track and any price target you set against them.

Accounts are optional. Price comparison, spot prices and every article work fully without one. Account data is stored in the United States (Supabase, AWS us-east-1).

We do not ask for or store payment details, government identifiers, or financial account information. We are not a dealer and we do not sell bullion.

Email we send you

Today we send only transactional email: address confirmation and password resets. These are necessary to operate an account and cannot be unsubscribed from while the account exists.

We do not currently send price alerts, marketing email, or newsletters. If we add them, they will be opt-in, every message will carry an unsubscribe link, and we will update this policy first.

Deleting your account

Email contact@silvergoldprice.com from the address on the account and we will delete it, along with your watchlist, within 30 days. Deletion is permanent — a watchlist cannot be recovered afterwards.

Cookies

Google Analytics may set analytics cookies when it is enabled for a deployment. We do not enable Google Signals or ad-personalization signals in our configuration. Affiliate networks may set their own referral cookies after you leave this site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; the comparison and calculator will continue to work.

Third parties

Analytics providers and dealer affiliate networks receive data as described above. Dealers you click through to have their own privacy policies, which govern what happens once you are on their site.

Account authentication and storage are provided by Supabase, acting as our data processor. They store your email address, password hash and watchlist on our behalf and do not use that data for their own purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to its processing. Email contact@silvergoldprice.com and we will respond within the time your local law requires.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date at the top and note what changed.
