4 stars for quality of product but as others stated premium are high. I have been a customer with them for 10 years and just made a 250 oz purchase before finding this site unfortunately. They do have an auto invest that I liked but have put it on pause letting them know that I am shopping for best price with no more blind loyalty.
This is my #1 dealer due tot he fact that they have had some of the most diverse products in any online or local inventory. Yes; their premiums are the highest in the industry and there is a reason for this. I usually can order from APMEX without the product being "Out of Stock" (or readily in stock in a short period of time) or their shipping is the best in the industry. Take your pick. The premiums I pay for in 2022 are for quick, free shipping and a diverse catalog. Thanks.
I used to buy only from Apmex because of quick shipping and a very diverse selection of products. However, their prices are totally insane. It doesn't matter what I am shopping for, Apmex is always 10-15% higher than the cheapest product I can find. Their price over spot cannot even compete with some of the other dealers out there.
Purchased silver from them, it was junk silver, and NOT coinage, but just crappy scraped and gouged silver round and 10 gram, TEN gram bars. After i personally tested everything they sent me STERLING! They won't let me leave this review on their site! They exchanged it. However most just believe what they buy is picked by knowledgeable people, after OTHER knowledgeable people go thru the items, and then bin them. NO QC!! No checker of the checker. Jokelahoma! I will never use them again.
APMEX has the highest standards in the industry - when I order, I know my product will be of the highest quality and shipped discreetly and in a timely manner. I will order again and again from APMEX. Confidence is paramount when buying gold and silver.
Four orders completed. Another in process. No problems so far. Lots and lots of inventory items that smaller dealers will probably not have (Like pre 1933 gold dollars) Not always the cheapest but often they are. Definitely worth checking their prices every time you shop.
I've bought from APMEX five times, and haven't had any problems. They may not be the cheapest; however, when I can't find what I'm looking for somewhere else I usually end up at APMEX.

The $5 Indian Half Eagle gold coin is an emblematic piece of American history. In almost uncirculated condition, the half eagle gold coin is not only a valuable asset due to its gold content but also a highly sought-after collectible with significant numismatic worth. These coins embody the rich heritage and artistic mastery of early 20th-century United States coinage. Minted from 1908 to 1929, this coinThe $5 Indian Half Eagle was first introduced in 1908 and was minted each year until 1929. These gold coins are a product of President Theodore Roosevelt's ambitious agenda to beautify American coinage. The coin features a distinctive recessed, or incuse, design, where the images and inscriptions are sunk into the surface of the coin rather than raised above it. This initiative brought about the collaboration with noted sculptor Bela Lyon Pratt, whose incuse design was revolutionary for its time.Better known as the incuse design, the $5 Indian Head Half Eagle was in circulation until the gold confiscation in 1933.The series ran until 1929, with several key dates that are of particular interest to collectors due to their rarity and historical significance. Notable among these are the 1909-O, minted in New Orleans, which is the only Indian Half Eagle produced outside the main mints and is exceedingly rare. The 1929 issue, marking the end of the series, is also highly coveted, as many were melted down during the Great Depression, significantly reducing their numbers.A $5 Indian Half Eagle in almost uncirculated (BU) condition is a prize among collectors. AU coins exhibit little signs of wear and retain most of their original mint luster. These coins may have never seen circulation and showcase the intricate details of Pratt's design in their full glory. The condition of a coin is paramount in assessing its value, and a BU Indian Half Eagle is at the top tier, making it a desirable acquisition for both collectors and investors. The $5 Indian Half Eagles were primarily produced at three mints: Philadelphia (no mint mark), Denver (D), and San Francisco (S). The mint mark, when present, can be found on the coin's reverse, below the eagle. Coins from different mints carry varying degrees of rarity and value, with those from the New Orleans mint (O) being particularly rare.FindBullionPrices.com tracks prices from some of the most trusted and reputable online bullion dealers to help find the lowest prices on $5 Indian Half Eagle Gold Coin (AU).The gold prices on our site for coins and bullion are updated hourly and adjusted with gold spot price.
